Tried to upgrade my desktop computer at work the hardcore way by just inserting the windows 7 install media and chosing the upgrade option.
On the first boot i got a black screen and just a cursor on my main monitor.
Figured it was a problem with the display driver (or it’s settings) so i started windows in VGA-mode and it worked.
Interrupt windows start by pressing F8. Chose “Enable low-resolution video (640×480). Then upgrade the display drivers when you get into windows. I updated the display drivers by going into device manager, right clicked my display adapter and clicked “Update Driver Software”.
